Also on the weekend Myself, Adam, Hugo and my old man set to work and got my car painted, looks so sweet. now just to find a new kit…
Last night we spent fucking ages wrecking emmas lawn on her quad bikes, we had some sweet high speed(for a 90cc quad) drift tandems. Then Mel rolled one and we cant use them anymore haha
Not alot of updates been happening, had a lazy couple of weeks after the last event. All my bushes turned up from the states finally!
I bought new paint and today started stripping my car, will spray this weekend weather permitting. Tried to buy new aero but no one in NZ has anything cool in stock, sucks will have to wait.
Mels car is going off to uncle glenn for a retune and to have the Link electronic boost control set up for more power.
Went to Hamilton (Clamidia capital of NZ) And Spewgo spewed all the fuck down the side of the truck!
Sick weekend at taupo, about 1000 of us convoyed down to taupo on sunday arrived early afternoon,
went swimming, ate mcdonalds, did more swimming, went drifting on monday was rad!
The weather was incredible, track temps were massive, bitches was trippin, damage was plentiful…
We had enough people driving to have our own group, Drew and Jodie from DMNZ hooked it up big time. This allowed drifting to most of the circuit too, it was a first.
Ive had no sway bars on my car since forever so last night I decided to try modify my stock sway bar to fit the 1JZ. I took the bar and cut it in two places, rotated the center then welded it back together. At the same time I made the center section a bit shorter, which in turn will give more clearance for the wheels at full lock (FC’s wheels hit the sway bar even with mediocre lock)
The finished result seemed pretty good, the welds got in there nicely.
I get to try it out at taupo it will either work sweet or snap in half ahah. Im pretty sure youre not meant to cut and weld them because theyre tempered spring steel but thought it was worth a shot anyway.
